pal map with names.jpgPalawan is an exquisite destination in the southwest part of the Philippine archipelago. It is a long, narrow island pointing to Borneo. It is known as the "Last Frontier" and is the ecotourist destination of the country, attracting a steady stream of visitors. It is host to the only two Natural World Heritage Sites in the Philippines, the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park.

There are daily flights to Puerto Princesa, Palawan's capital, from Manila, and twice a week from Cebu. Flights are about 60 minutes.
